Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She holds the record for being awarded 10/10 marks during an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics teacher who was later Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. The first time she competed at the national junior championships in 1969 placing 13th and she won the competition in the year 1970. Three gold medals were awarded in her debut competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972, which was a communist bloc countries. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974 she won the junior all-round champion. When she competed for the first time at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals as well being awarded a silver. She became the first female to complete the reverse double salo of the bar with a parallel surface when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career as an entertainment professional during her teenage years in which she was a part of an ice skating duo along with the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. At the age of a girl, she began performing as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. These shows were ice skating events that included theatrical performances.
