Maribel grew up within Virginia and was raised by her parents along with siblings although information about them is scarce. At a young age she was determined to make a profession within the legal field in the hopes of becoming a lawyer. After high school graduation in the year 1819, she attended University of Virginia. University of Virginia, where she graduated with an emphasis in German as well as Foreign Policy. Thomas Jefferson, who was one of Declaration of Independence's authors, established The University of Virginia in 1819. In the Jefferson's Academical Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the University has grown to provide more than a hundred different programs. The main campus of the University is located on approximately 1,600 acre and it has thousands of acres of research parks, as well as its farm. Maribel went on to New York Law School for Juris Doctor study after having finished her education. Maribel Aber NYLS is a private law school known to be the home of high profile faculty, many are also experienced working in the legal and business world.
